Artifacts from an offering to Aztec gods are displayed at the Templo Mayor museum in the Centro Histórico area of Mexico City. The sacrifice paid homage to deities like Xiuhtecuhtli and Tlaloc. Templo Mayor was a major site of Tenochtitlán, the former capital of the Aztec Empire.
