My video takes you inside the King’s Chamber, the room in the heart of the Great Pyramid of Giza that contains the sarcophagus of the Old Kingdom pharaoh Khufu. The end of the clip shows the cramped entrance to the burial room, which is reached by making the hot and humid climb up the stairs of the Grand Gallery.
Entering the Great Pyramid requires an additional ticket that costs $1,000 EGP (~$20 USD). For more information regarding exploring Egypt’s Giza necropolis on your own, read my travel guide “How to Take a Self-Guided Tour of the Giza Pyramid Complex.” You can also watch my high-definition video of tourists making their way up the Grand Gallery.
