My video shows the southern terminus of Luxor’s Avenue of Sphinxes, which connects the ancient Egyptian ruins of Karnak to Luxor Temple. The avenue gets its name from the 807 sphinx statues that flank it. The Avenue of Sphinxes runs approximately 2.7 kms through the heart of what was once the ancient city of Thebes, the capital of Egypt’s New Kingdom.
