One of London’s iconic red telephone booths stands next to the River Thames near the Houses of Parliament. The famous Millennium Wheel, also known as the London Eye, is in the background. As of 2021, the United Kingdom only has 21,000 public telephone boxes left. Steps are being taken by the government to preserve them.
