An order of chicken and shrimp gumbo is served for lunch along with a glass of peach muscadine wine at Savannah’s historic restaurant The Pirates’ House. The popular eatery has a history that dates back to when the city was settled in the 18th century by English colonists. It was also referenced in Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic 1883 adventure novel Treasure Island.
