The petroglyph panel at Mesa Verde National Park’s Petroglyph Point was created by Ancestral Puebloans that lived in the modern-day region of southwest Colorado. The site is accessible via Petroglyph Point Loop Trail, a 2.4-mile (3.9 km) circuit that the National Park Service describes as potentially challenging for inexperienced hikers. The trail begins near the Chapin Mesa Archaeological Museum.
