I am shown taking in the spectacular architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery. Located in Lisbon, it’s one of the most beautiful buildings in Western Europe. The monastery broke ground in 1501 CE and took a century to complete. It is the most emblematic remnant of Portugal’s Age of Discovery glory.
