Century-old log cribs skirt the edge of a sheer cliff along Grandview Trail in Grand Canyon National Park, AZ. The old mining route, which is accessible from the canyon’s South Rim, leads to Horseshoe Mesa. The eight-mile (around 12.9 kms) out-and-back trek is considered strenuous by the National Park Service and should only be attempted by experienced desert hikers.
