The splendrous and massive prayer hall of the Hassan II Mosque is shown during my tour of the landmark in Casablanca, Morocco. Built over six years in the late 1980s and early 1990s at the expense of approximately $750 million, the mosque’s opulent interior can hold a capacity of 25,000 worshippers. Non-Muslims like myself are permitted to enter via guided tour. Visitors are required to dress modestly, including covering their upper arms and knees.
