This sweeping southerly view of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, Morocco, shows the landmark stretching over the Atlantic Ocean on an outcrop. It took 6,000 craftspeople around 6 years to finish the mosque, which allows non-Muslims like myself to enter via guided tour. Visitors are required to dress respectfully, including covering their upper arms and knees.
