Welsh Caves (DeSoto State Park, Alabama)

Hidden in a cliff at the end of an unmarked trail, the manmade Welsh Caves at DeSoto State Park in Alabama are one of Appalachia’s most enigmatic places. Legend says they were built by a Welsh prince around three centuries before Christopher Columbus arrived in America.
