Caves of Hercules (Morocco)

Waves from the Atlantic Ocean roll into the “Map of Africa” sea opening at the Caves of Hercules near Cap Spartel, Morocco. The caves are named after the Greco-Roman demigod; mythology says he rested in the caverns while performing his 12 Labors. Click to read my feature article “Tangier: City of Spies” about the history of espionage in the Moroccan city. You can also view my high-resolution photo collection from Morocco.
