Including pancakes, eggs, sausage, grits, and a biscuit, “The Olgethorpe” at Savannah’s popular Clary’s Cafe is a hearty way to begin a day exploring the city. The unassuming diner gained notoriety in 1994 when John Berendt mentioned it in his international bestselling true crime novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Actor John Cusack also shot a scene at Clary’s in the 1997 Clint Eastwood-directed film by the same name as the novel.
