Built in the 18th century, the Hampton Lillibridge House was restored nearly two centuries later by the late Jim Williams, the main character in John Berendt’s international best-selling true crime novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. An exorcism was allegedly performed at the residence in the 1960s to remove dark supernatural forces.
